Lindsey and I's 2nd Anniversary (aka LifeChanging)

So Lindsey and I decided to take a trip to lovely Sedona for the weekend (Feb 5-7th) and it was a wonderful get away. We left T with the Tillers and B with her mom. Little did we expect to almost lean on them a whole lot more then we ever should. The trip in all was very lovely indeed we spent a nice vacation relaxing and doing just about nothing. The weather was cold and rain or snow so all we really could do with our limited attire (aka we both forgot anything resembling warm clothing) was to hang out inside, eat out, watch movies and sleep. So we accomplish a whole lot of nothing except a lot of nice quite alone time together which is a super super must do more of that in the future note to ourselves. That one weekend really reminds me how much I love my wife and just being with her. I love the kids I love us being together but we share something truly electric together that comes out when it is just the two of us (I think it comes out with us as a family but in a different way).
So long story short that was our great weekend and most likely you would see some very silly pictures hanging out on the site if it were not for our trip home. This is when the trouble happened. Since I am writing this blog please note that Lindsey and I are both FINE. We are well aware of how lucky we are and can say that we used up a couple of our nine lives.
On the way home we were involved in a Roll Over single car accident. We were out near the Orme/Dugas Exit when disaster struck. The weather which had been horrible then brightened up to lovely and sunny though cold turned into a sleet drizzle. We happened to be hitting a bend n the road right then and though I could have chosen to downshift as I normally do I for some reason hit the breaks. This is when the disaster happened. The car we believe hydroplaned and I lost control of the vehicle and we were off the road in the center median. We promptly caught the side of the car and flipped sideways. The car rolled at least twice by my memory mostly on the front end portion of the car. It was very interesting the way it all happened and I can remember things such as Lindsey Grabbing my leg and me telling her we were going to be ok. At the end we found ourselves right side up holding on to each others hands asking if we were both ok. As it turns out we both are battered and bruised but seem to have escaped significant damage. As you can guess the car will be totaled soon as we are lucky that it did its job. Here are the pictures as crazy as they are remember that:

  1. Lindsey is OK
  2. Avery is OK
  3. We know how lucky we are
  4. and can you believe we had 10 bottles of wine in the back and not one of them broke?????
pic 1-21 are photos of us on our Vacation

pic 22 is Of us when we showed up at the Casa Grande fire houes (HUGE SHOUT OUT TO HOW GREAT THEY WERE!) and it shows how muddy we were and thank goodness we were because it saved out lives I think.

Pic 24 & 25 are pictures of the exact same car I had not a mile from where I went to take pictures of the wreck

Pic 26 on show the damage to the Hyundai Elantra GT which I have nothing but good things to say about it.
